Lead Internal Auditor

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Internal Auditor to join a prominent real‑estate organization in Oman. The role involves overseeing comprehensive internal audit engagements, evaluating internal controls, and guiding the audit team to ensure robust risk management and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute internal audit assignments independently or as part of a team.
• Assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
• Prepare detailed audit reports that highlight findings, risks and actionable recommendations.
• Follow up on management’s implementation of audit recommendations.
• Assist in developing audit plans, programs and annual risk‑based audit schedules.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior auditors.
• Ensure compliance with internal audit standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Communicate audit results clearly to management and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–7 years of internal audit experience, preferably in construction, contracting or similar industries.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA or equivalent are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, auditing standards and regulatory requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with audit software.
• Advanced skills in MS Office tools.
