Lead Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to drive front‑end and detailed design activities across engineering projects. The role involves providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from concept through construction, commissioning, and operational phases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review front‑end and detailed mechanical design inputs for assigned projects.
• Conduct technical support studies and provide engineering assistance during construction, commissioning, and start‑up.
• Support maintenance and operations teams with engineering expertise as required.
• Interpret, apply, and challenge relevant standards and specifications throughout design phases.
• Prepare material and equipment requisitions and perform technical evaluations of supplier bids.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical engineering design for industrial or construction projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering standards and ability to assess their applicability.
• Experience in bid evaluation and procurement of mechanical equipment.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical information clearly.
