Learning Support Teacher – SABIS System

About the role

The International School of Choueifat seeks a dedicated Learning Support Teacher to assist low‑performing students, motivate them and help them reach their academic potential within the SABIS system.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to academically low‑performing students.
• Discuss disciplinary and performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department.
• Implement the SABIS point system to maintain a conducive learning environment.
• Invigilate examinations and ensure proper exam conditions.
• Assist with external exam preparation using past papers and structured revision schedules.
• Perform duties such as testing, substitute teaching, organizing lunches and transport, traffic control, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
• Plan and participate in student‑life activities, including art, open house, and physical education events.
• Attend training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS system.
• Mark exams according to departmental schedules.
• Teach using provided lesson plans or develop plans based on pacing charts, applying the SABIS point system.

Required profile

• Proficient or native English speaker, depending on subject.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification.
