Mason – Guest Room & Public Area Maintenance

About the role

The Mason is responsible for delivering high‑quality preventative maintenance across guest rooms, meeting rooms and public areas at our Al Mouj property. This role ensures rooms are clean, well‑maintained and ready for guests, supporting the overall guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks such as flipping mattresses, vacuuming under furniture, deep‑cleaning carpet, touch‑up painting, dusting, bathroom cleaning and verifying all appliances are present and functional.
• Clean and replace light fixtures, inspect grout and caulking, and carry out minor repairs including tightening loose toilet seats, changing bulbs and patching wall holes.
• Maintain, repair and clean all guest rooms, meeting rooms and public spaces in line with property procedures (GCPM, CARE, Make Ready Team, Perfect Room Team).
• Report serious maintenance problems, safety hazards or unusual findings to the manager or supervisor immediately.
• Follow all company safety and security policies, complete required safety training and certifications, and adhere to uniform and appearance standards.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs and develop positive working relationships with team members to achieve common goals.
• Perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, lifting and moving objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Less than one year of related work experience; no supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 50 lb and perform physical activities including bending, twisting and stooping.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures, report hazards and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
