Mathematics Teacher – International School (Oman)

About the role

Bangladesh School Saham, an internationally‑accredited community school in Oman, is seeking a qualified Mathematics Teacher to deliver the Bangladesh National Curriculum (English version) to secondary‑level students. The role involves creating a stimulating learning environment that promotes strong conceptual understanding and academic excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging mathematics lessons in line with the Bangladesh National Curriculum (English version).
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments and assessments to support student learning.
• Explain mathematical concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to diverse learning abilities.
• Monitor, evaluate and record student progress; conduct quizzes, tests and examinations and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain discipline and a positive classroom atmosphere while encouraging analytical thinking and problem‑solving.
• Provide additional academic assistance to students who need it.
• Participate in school meetings, training sessions, professional development programmes and co‑curricular activities.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress when required.

Required profile

• B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. in Mathematics.
• Minimum three years of classroom teaching experience, preferably in English‑medium secondary education.
• Fluent English proficiency; IELTS or PTE certificate is an advantage.
• Experience with exam preparation and secondary‑level curriculum.

• Proficiency with digital teaching tools and smart‑classroom technologies.
