Mathematics Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our school in Muscat on a full‑time basis. The successful candidate will inspire students, uphold high expectations, and contribute to a collaborative teaching environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver well‑structured mathematics lessons aligned with the school’s scheme of work.
• Assign and monitor homework in accordance with school policy.
• Utilise assessment data to track progress, set targets and inform subsequent lessons.
• Provide regular oral and written feedback, using diagnostic marking to encourage student response.
• Record and analyse both summative and formative assessments to ensure student progress.
• Undertake pastoral duties and participate in school meetings related to curriculum and administration.
• Attend parent meetings prepared to discuss achievement and well‑being.
• Engage in professional development and further training opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years experience teaching mathematics in a similar role.
• Degree in a related subject plus a PGCE qualification.
• Prior teaching experience in the United Kingdom.
