On-the-Job Training (OJT) Trainer Lead – LNG Facility

About the role

We are seeking a senior OJT Trainer Lead to plan, coordinate and deliver a 12‑month on‑the‑job training programme for 30 LNG facility trainees in Sur, Oman. The role involves overseeing induction, rotations across utilities, hot/cold sections, storage, electrical, instrumentation, mechanical PVV and rotating equipment, and ensuring competency outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise the full 12‑month OJT programme for three trainee groups (Panel Operators, technicians, supervisors).
• Schedule and sequence trainee rotations, aligning operations and maintenance exposure to individual roles and development needs.
• Conduct gap analysis, create Individual Development Plans, provide hands‑on coaching, assess competency and give performance feedback.
• Monitor attendance, engagement and performance; report issues to LNG L&D Manager and maintain audit‑ready training records.
• Promote a safety‑focused culture by reinforcing HSE, risk identification and JSA practices on the plant floor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical or Process/Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Certified assessor (OPITO standards) and Train‑the‑Trainer or instructional design certification.
• 15+ years of hands‑on operations/maintenance experience in an LNG facility, including at least 5 years as a senior OJT trainer or competency assessor.
• Fluent in written, read and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage.
