Operational Excellence Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Engineer – Operational Excellence to join our Fiber Glass Systems team in Sohar, Oman. The role will lead site‑level operational excellence and quality control activities, supervise the QC team and drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, RCA and CAPA methodologies.
• Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, action trackers and management reports.
• Supervise daily activities and development of the QC team.
• Ensure inspections (incoming, in‑process, final product, dispatch) meet customer and quality requirements.
• Manage NCRs, corrective actions, inspection records, calibration controls and quality documentation.
• Support QMS activities and internal, external, customer and supplier audits.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, HSE and Quality teams to improve processes and product quality.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in quality, operational excellence, manufacturing, inspection, testing or process improvement.
• Experience supervising or coordinating a technical team.
• Knowledge of QMS, Lean/CI tools, KPI tracking, document control, calibration and manufacturing processes.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
