Planning Manager

About the role

The Planning Manager will lead the development and maintenance of turnaround execution plans for our oil & gas operations, ensuring efficient work preparation, sequencing and progress tracking across both coastal (Muscat) and interior sites. The role supports the Turnaround team by providing accurate schedules, resource levelling and recovery planning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the contractor’s turnaround execution plan.
• Provide accurate activity durations and resource requirements, ensuring proper resource levelling.
• Prepare L4 schedules in Primavera P6, aligning activities with the company’s integrated plan.
• Create look‑ahead plans and track physical progress against the schedule.
• Identify concerns, update schedules and support re‑sequencing and recovery planning.
• Interface with company planning and scheduling teams and attend regular turnaround planning meetings.

Required profile

• Degree in an engineering discipline (B.Sc./M.Sc./B.Eng.), preferably Mechanical.
• Membership of a recognised professional engineering institute.
• 12‑15 years of experience in oil & gas maintenance, turnaround or shutdown planning and scheduling.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
