Presales Consultant - Automation and Integration

About the role

The Presales Consultant – Automation and Integration will bridge IBM’s advanced integration portfolio with client business needs in Oman. You will act as a trusted advisor, designing integration strategies and showcasing the value of IBM solutions to enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with sales to propose effective architectures and build custom solutions that seamlessly connect enterprise systems.
• Conduct technical workshops to demonstrate IBM App Connect Enterprise, IBM API Connect, and IBM MQ.
• Architect tailored integration frameworks using IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration and IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation.
• Provide expert guidance on intelligent automation and event streaming with IBM DataPower Gateway, IBM Event Automation, IBM Concert, and watsonx.orchestrate.
• Position IBM solutions against competitors such as MuleSoft and Boomi while understanding complementary technologies like Apache Kafka and Confluent.
• Collaborate with HSE teams to implement safety controls, manage hazardous materials, and promote a safety culture.
• Report progress and issues to the HSE focal point and maintain HSE documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (Master’s a plus).
• 7‑10 years of proven technical presales or consulting experience, preferably within the Omani market.
• Solid technical expertise in IBM Integration and Automation portfolio.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills to translate complex concepts for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
