Principal – Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Electrical Engineering professional to provide technical leadership across LNG operations and major capital projects. The role ensures safety, integrity, reliability and performance of all electrical systems and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering for capital projects, plant expansions and brownfield modifications.
• Manage project interfaces, technical evaluations, vendor selection and FAT/SAT activities.
• Provide technical authority for high‑voltage networks, equipment and power management systems.
• Lead complex troubleshooting, failure investigations and technical studies.
• Support SAFOP, SIL assessments and HAZOP reviews.
• Act as deputy SME and Technical Authority for electrical engineering.
• Oversee contracts, ensure compliance with HSSE, regulatory, ISO and engineering standards.
• Drive reliability, technical assurance and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the chemical, oil & gas or LNG sector.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on troubleshooting and analysis of electrical networks and equipment.
• Experience with generation, distribution and transmission systems up to 33 kV, HV motors and associated controls.
• Technical Authority Level 3 and major industrial project experience.
