Procurement Officer – Industrial Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to manage sourcing and purchasing of materials, spare parts, equipment and services for our industrial operations in Sur, Oman. The role supports power plant, oil & gas, manufacturing and maintenance activities, ensuring timely supply and cost‑effective procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement from requisition through delivery, preparing RFQs and purchase orders.
• Source suppliers, obtain quotations and negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Warehouse, Finance and Project teams.
• Procure mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, maintenance and industrial spare parts.
• Maintain procurement records, monitor pending orders and ensure critical spare‑parts availability.
• Evaluate supplier performance on quality, price, delivery and service.
• Support emergency, shutdown and maintenance procurement requirements.
• Prepare reports on outstanding orders, supplier performance and cost savings.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement or supply‑chain experience, preferably in power generation, oil & gas, manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Strong knowledge of Oman suppliers and local procurement practices.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement reporting.
• Excellent negotiation, sourcing and cost‑control abilities.
