Project Engineer - SCADA

About the role

WSP is looking for a Project Engineer to lead the delivery and implementation of SCADA systems for its projects. You will work closely with technical teams and clients to ensure the SCADA solution meets all operational, safety and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise delivery and implementation of the SCADA system in line with license conditions.
• Oversee design, configuration and testing of RTUs, communication modems and other SCADA devices.
• Develop and execute the transition strategy for the new SCADA system into operations.
• Maintain accurate policies, procedures and O&M manuals for the SCADA platform.
• Troubleshoot and recommend updates for all SCADA components.
• Manage annual work programmes, budgets and staff training related to SCADA.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and security policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional engineering licence preferred.
• In‑depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes and standards.
• Proven experience in project management and team leadership.

Required skills

• SCADA system implementation and configuration.
• RTU configuration and communication modem setup.
• End‑to‑end testing and troubleshooting of SCADA components.
• Understanding of electrical systems and related standards.
