Receiving Supervisor – Hypermarket

About the role

The Receiving Supervisor oversees all receiving activities in a hyper‑market environment, ensuring that goods arrive accurately, on time and in compliance with food‑safety and company standards. This role is pivotal for maintaining inventory integrity and supporting seamless store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise receiving of store deliveries, direct store deliveries (DSD) and warehouse transfers.
• Verify quantities, quality, expiry dates, batch numbers and condition of goods against LPOs, invoices and delivery notes.
• Coordinate unloading, handle goods safely and process GRN/GRV documentation promptly.
• Maintain accurate receiving records, ensure proper segregation and storage according to category and temperature requirements.
• Monitor and report short supplies, damages, discrepancies and support inventory audits.
• Enforce SOPs, HACCP, food‑safety and Oman municipality regulations; uphold FIFO/FEFO practices.
• Lead a team of receiving clerks, loaders and warehouse assistants, allocate tasks and train staff on procedures and safety.
• Liaise with suppliers, transporters and store departments to resolve delivery issues and ensure smooth replenishment.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Retail Operations or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years experience in receiving, warehouse or retail back‑store operations, with GCC retail experience mandatory.
• Experience in hypermarket, supermarket or FMCG environments preferred.
• Strong organizational, supervisory and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Basic ERP/POS systems knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
