Regulatory & Investigation Manager – Aviation Security

About the role

The Regulatory & Investigation Manager leads the airline’s security operations, ensuring compliance with national and international aviation security regulations. This senior position oversees the development, implementation and continuous improvement of security programmes, while acting as the secondary liaison with civil aviation authorities, law‑enforcement and regulatory bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as secondary liaison with civil aviation authorities, airport operators and law‑enforcement agencies.
• Develop, implement and monitor airline security programmes in line with ICAO, TSA and local CAA requirements.
• Prepare for and support internal and external audits, maintaining up‑to‑date regulatory documentation.
• Lead investigations of security breaches, coordinate with law‑enforcement and regulatory bodies.
• Supervise and mentor security personnel across stations, delivering training on aviation security, regulatory updates and emergency response.
• Conduct risk assessments, threat analyses and test emergency response and business continuity plans.
• Analyse security data and trends, recommending enhancements to policies, procedures and technologies.
• Establish procedures for verifying passenger travel documents and detecting forged documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business studies, security or a related discipline (or specialised certificate such as ICAO AVSEC‑PMC).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Experience working with civil aviation authorities and regulatory compliance.
