Rig Operations Lead – Kuwait

About the role

The Rig Operations Lead is a senior leader responsible for the overall performance, safety, and profitability of assigned drilling rigs in Kuwait. You will oversee all aspects of rig operations, from drilling and well completion to personnel and logistics management, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day drilling operations and well‑completion activities to achieve technical success.
• Manage rig performance, profitability, and operational integrity.
• Enforce strict quality‑assurance and HSE standards, leading safety initiatives.
• Lead, motivate and develop multiple drilling crews, including subcontractors.
• Coordinate rig logistics, supply chains, and external support services.
• Serve as the primary on‑site contact for clients, building strong stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in oil‑field drilling and wellbore operations.
• Proven track record of leading and managing multiple drilling crews.
• Demonstrated ability to optimise drilling performance and control costs.
• Strong commitment to HSE compliance and safety leadership.
• Excellent client‑facing and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Well Control (IWCF or IADC certification at Supervisor level).
• Drilling operations expertise.
