Senior Architect – Lead Design Projects

About the role

AEB-Assaf, a leading architecture‑engineering consultancy in Oman, is seeking a Senior Architect to lead the design and coordination of diverse projects from concept through construction documentation. This full‑time, on‑site position in Muscat will shape high‑rise buildings, villas, hotels, malls and other commercial developments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine architectural design solutions, drawings and specifications.
• Manage design timelines and ensure compliance with Omani/GCC building codes and client requirements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including structural, MEP and civil engineers.
• Guide junior staff, review design proposals and lead client meetings and presentations.
• Oversee design quality during tender, construction and hand‑over phases.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Architecture (Bachelor’s or Master’s) from an accredited institution.
• Several years of experience in an architectural leadership role, preferably in civil engineering or property development.
• Strong project‑management capabilities and ability to integrate architectural designs with structural and MEP disciplines.
• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations and permitting processes in Oman or the GCC.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Advanced skills in Revit and BIM tools.
• Experience with 3D modeling and parametric design software.
• Use of digital collaboration platforms for architectural workflows.
