Senior Associate – Commercial & Corporate Law

About the role

The Senior Associate will manage a portfolio of complex commercial and corporate matters, providing strategic advice and overseeing dispute resolution for our clients in Muscat.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, pleadings and other legal documents.
• Provide commercial, corporate and dispute‑resolution advice to corporate clients.
• Lead case preparation and represent the firm before courts and arbitral tribunals.
• Maintain and develop client relationships, ensuring timely and commercially focused solutions.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external counsel to progress matters efficiently.
• Supervise, mentor and review the work of junior lawyers.
• Conduct legal research and contribute to business‑development initiatives such as client presentations and thought‑leadership pieces.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in commercial and corporate law with proven litigation and dispute‑resolution experience.
• Advanced legal drafting and document‑review capabilities, including contracts, pleadings and advisory memoranda.
• Proficiency in legal research, case analysis and application of relevant legislation, regulations and precedents.
• Excellent client‑relationship management and communication skills in English; Arabic is advantageous.
• LLB or equivalent from a recognized institution and admission to practice law in Oman (or eligibility for registration).
• Several years of post‑qualification experience in a reputable law firm or in‑house department, preferably with regional or international exposure.
• High level of professionalism, integrity and commitment to ethical practice.
