Senior Associate, Data Analytics – Data Collection Mechanism

About the role

The Senior Associate, Data Analytics – Data Collection Mechanism will be based in Salalah, Oman, supporting the ARISE Program’s evidence base. Reporting to the ARISE Program Lead and working closely with the MEL & Data Officer, the role designs, builds, and operates the data infrastructure that underpins monitoring, reporting, and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain a centralized data repository for all program pillars.
• Develop and manage data pipelines ingesting field surveys, remote‑sensing/GIS outputs, GHG inventories, and socio‑economic indicators.
• Implement data quality protocols, including validation checks and audit trails.
• Collaborate with the MEL & Data Officer to ensure data is collected, stored, processed, and made accessible for program use.
• Support the operationalization of the Data Collection Mechanism (DCM) throughout the program lifecycle.

Required profile

• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in data analytics, environmental science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing complex data workflows and multi‑source integration.
• Strong understanding of climate‑action, ecosystem restoration, and nature‑based solutions data requirements.
