Senior Contract & Procurement Manager

About the role

Wood is seeking a Senior Contract & Procurement Manager to be seconded to OQ in Muscat, Oman for a one‑year assignment. The role will lead contract administration and procurement activities across FEED and EPC phases, ensuring compliance and commercial performance on major oil‑and‑gas projects.

Key responsibilities

• Administer project contracts during execution and post‑award stages, managing correspondence, deliverables, milestones, variations, claims and payments.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Project Controls and other stakeholders to ensure contract compliance and timely issue resolution.
• Lead contract operations for FEED/EPC contractors, handling instructions, clarifications and performance issues.
• Evaluate and support negotiation of variations, claims and change orders.
• Maintain contract records, audit trails and ensure contractual compliance with FEED/EPC obligations.
• Identify commercial risks, develop mitigation actions and support cost control and forecasting in partnership with Project Controls.
• Contribute to EPC tender readiness, ITT preparation and integration of lessons learned from FEED.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing multi‑disciplinary teams during FEED and EPC phases on large‑scale energy or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, commercial risk management and procurement processes.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders and drive contract compliance.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills with a focus on cost control and forecasting.
