Senior Cost Analyst

About the role

Worley is seeking a Senior Cost Analyst to lead cost management for large‑scale engineering and construction projects. The role combines budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking to ensure projects stay within financial targets while supporting sustainable energy initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project budgets, including labor, materials and equipment, following the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS).
• Perform trend analysis and rolling forecasts, preparing cash‑flow and PCS reports.
• Utilise Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics such as CPI and SPI to monitor project health and produce weekly/monthly financial dashboards.
• Update Estimate‑at‑Completion (EAC) and cash‑flow projections to anticipate overruns.
• Quantify and track change orders, variations and claims, ensuring alignment with contractual baselines.
• Coordinate with Project Managers on status, resource needs and issue resolution.
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff and review work for accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business or related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in cost control, cost analysis or project controls on engineering/construction projects.
• Proven ability to communicate with senior stakeholders and clients.

Required skills

• Primavera P6 (project scheduling/planning).
• EcoSys cost and project management software.
• Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology and metrics.
