Senior Fund Manager - Private Markets & Real Assets

About the role

The Senior Fund Manager - Private Markets & Real Assets originates, underwrites, structures and monitors investments in private markets such as real estate, infrastructure, private credit, private equity and other alternative strategies. The role combines transaction execution with portfolio-management discipline, operating within approved mandates, governance and delegated limits.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop private-market opportunities through sponsors, developers, asset managers, advisers and institutional counterparties, maintaining a disciplined pipeline.
• Lead or coordinate underwriting, valuation, financial modelling, sensitivity analysis and commercial assessment, and coordinate legal, financial, tax, technical, operational and ESG due diligence.
• Support structuring of funds, co-investments, separate accounts and vehicles, and review terms, governance rights, fees, liquidity and covenants.
• Prepare decision-ready investment papers and coordinate approved transactions through conditions precedent, documentation, funding and closing.
• Monitor portfolio companies, real assets and fund managers, review investor reports, capital calls and distributions, and escalate material issues to the Head of Asset Management and governance committees.
• Provide private-market insight to multi-asset portfolio construction, strategic asset allocation and manager selection, and mentor junior investment professionals.

Required profile

• Omani nationals only.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Real Estate or a related discipline; an MBA, MSc or other postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in asset management, private equity, private credit, infrastructure, real estate, investment banking, corporate finance or alternative investments.
• Demonstrable experience in at least one private-market discipline (deal sourcing, underwriting, structuring, execution or portfolio monitoring).
• Professional qualification such as CFA, CAIA, FRM, ACA/CPA or a relevant investment, valuation, real estate or project-finance qualification preferred.
• Professional fluency in English; Arabic and familiarity with Oman/GCC markets and regulatory practices are advantageous.
