Senior Piping Engineer

About the role

Wood is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to join its Projects team in Muscat, Oman. The role focuses on delivering FEED and detailed design scopes for the NGLE Project under the TL scope, supporting the full lifecycle from engineering through construction, commissioning and operation.

Key responsibilities

• Execute mechanical and piping engineering activities for the NGLE Project, covering FEED and EPC phases.
• Apply industry‑standard piping practices, standards and design codes.
• Challenge design assumptions and drive value‑engineering initiatives.
• Provide innovative solutions to meet cost and schedule targets while maintaining compliance.
• Assist mechanical engineers in reviewing and delivering engineering deliverables.
• Compile and evaluate contractor reports and technical data.

Required profile

• Significant experience in downstream petrochemical piping design.
• Hands‑on background in engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operation within the oil & gas sector.
• Proven ability to work on both FEED and detailed design phases.
• Willingness to be based in Muscat for a one‑year assignment.
