Senior Product Manager – National Platform (Muscat)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the backlog of a national digital platform in Muscat. You will translate the product vision and roadmap into a prioritized, build‑ready stream of work and guide a delivery squad to ship valuable features sprint after sprint.

Key responsibilities

• Own and prioritize the product backlog for one or more delivery squads, aligned with the product roadmap and vision.
• Translate strategy and roadmap into clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria the team can build.
• Act as the daily voice of the product: answer questions, make trade‑off decisions, and unblock the team quickly.
• Order the backlog ruthlessly by value and decide what is in and out of each sprint.
• Accept or reject completed work against acceptance criteria and define the definition of done with the team.
• Run backlog refinement, sprint planning, and reviews alongside the Scrum Master and engineering.
• Gather and manage requirements across government entities, consolidating conflicting asks into a single ordered backlog.
• Track delivery against outcomes and continuously reprioritize as you learn.

Required profile

• Proven experience owning a real product backlog and delivering working software.
• Ability to write crisp user stories and acceptance criteria and slice work for delivery.
• Strong prioritisation skills; comfortable saying “no” and deferring items.
• Decisive decision‑maker who provides fast, clear answers to the team.
• Collaborative partner with engineering, design, and senior product leadership.
• Skilled at managing demanding stakeholders without turning the backlog into a wish list.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher; CSPO, PSPO, or SAFe POPM certifications are a plus.
• Bonus experience in government, regulated, platform, or multi‑tenant products.
• Fluent English required; Arabic is a valuable advantage.
