Senior Quantity Surveyor (Construction)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management and commercial activities on large‑scale construction projects. The successful candidate will bring at least ten years of industry experience, strong analytical abilities, and a proven track record in delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation for new projects.
• Manage all commercial and contractual aspects from inception to completion.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and negotiate contract terms.
• Monitor project costs, variations, claims, and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Prepare interim valuations, payment certificates, and final accounts.
• Administer contracts in line with company policies and project requirements.
• Conduct quantity take‑offs and measurements of works.
• Handle contractual claims and dispute resolution processes.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams to achieve commercial objectives.
• Produce regular cost reports and recommend value‑engineering solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in building, infrastructure or MEP projects.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and GCC construction practices.
• Excellent understanding of cost control, contract management and procurement procedures.
• Valid GCC driving licence is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using quantity‑surveying software.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contract terms.
