Senior Sales Trader – Brokerage Division

About the role

We are seeking a high‑performing Senior Sales Trader to join the Brokerage division of a leading asset management firm in Muscat. Reporting to the Managing Director, Head of Brokerage, the role will focus on expanding client relationships, driving trading revenue and delivering market insights to institutional and high‑net‑worth clients.

Key responsibilities

• Generate revenue by acquiring new clients, managing relationships and increasing trading activity.
• Provide active trading ideas, short‑term strategies and tactical market opportunities to clients.
• Lead sales coverage across local and international institutional investors, family offices and corporates.
• Develop cross‑border partnerships to broaden market access and revenue streams.
• Onboard new clients while ensuring full KYC/AML and regulatory compliance.
• Present investment ideas, product opportunities and cross‑sell broader business capabilities.
• Mentor junior sales professionals and support talent development.
• Contribute to the launch of new products and strategic growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in brokerage, asset management, investment banking or private banking.
• Strong existing client relationships across GCC and international markets.
• Deep understanding of equities and multi‑asset markets.
• Proven track record in revenue generation and client growth.
• Commercially driven with strong relationship‑management skills.
• Leadership experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field; professional qualifications (CFA, CISI) advantageous.
