Senior Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to lead deployment and content development for Securonix, a next‑generation SIEM and UEBA platform. The role will be based in Muscat and involves designing, implementing and fine‑tuning security monitoring solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and configure SIEM/UEBA solutions such as Securonix, Splunk, QRadar and related platforms.
• Develop and maintain detection content, custom parsers and use‑case libraries.
• Perform incident response, threat hunting and security analytics.
• Integrate security data from firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint and cloud services.
• Write technical documentation and deliver knowledge transfer to stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with SIEM deployments and management.
• 3+ years of experience creating detection content for Securonix or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of cyber‑attack techniques, MITRE ATT&CK and kill‑chain frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure with diverse teams.

• Operating systems: Windows, Linux, Unix.
• Networking fundamentals, firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS.
• Programming/scripting: Java, Core Java, Python, Bash, SQL, MySQL, Hadoop.
• Security tooling: regular expressions, YARA rules, endpoint protection, cloud security.
• Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint.
