Senior Vibration Engineer

About the role

The Senior Vibration Engineer provides first‑line technical support for vibration‑related issues, working closely with client teams and Oceaneering’s specialist engineering group. The role blends field investigations, data acquisition, and engineering analysis to manage vibration risks on machinery, pipework, and structures.

Key responsibilities

• Execute vibration monitoring, dynamic stress measurement, and specialist investigations on operating assets.
• Conduct vibration surveys, ODS studies, modal testing, and other field measurements on rotating equipment, pipework, and structures.
• Analyse vibration, strain, and pulsation data to assess equipment performance, reliability, and integrity.
• Provide first‑line technical assessment of abnormal conditions, support client teams, and prepare technical reports and presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in vibration, integrity, or reliability engineering, including site investigations and data acquisition.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
