Service Technician – Crane Maintenance

About the role

The Service Technician will perform preventive maintenance, inspections and corrective repairs on SANY crane equipment. The role involves diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic faults and supporting customers on site.

Key responsibilities

• Execute planned preventive maintenance, periodic inspections and corrective repairs according to SANY schedules and OEM procedures.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, electronic and control‑system faults using service manuals, wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics and approved diagnostic tools.
• Inspect and repair engines, transmissions, final drives, swing drives, undercarriage, braking, cooling, lubrication, fuel and exhaust systems.
• Service hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, hoses, accumulators and related circuits.
• Perform electrical diagnostics on batteries, alternators, starters, sensors, CAN‑bus, controllers and machine monitoring systems.
• Complete commissioning, pre‑delivery inspections, start‑up testing and customer hand‑over support.
• Attend emergency breakdowns, identify root causes, restore equipment safely and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare accurate service reports documenting faults, work performed, parts used and recommendations.

Required profile

• Diploma/ITI/Technical Certificate or associate‑level qualification in Mechanical, Automobile, Heavy Vehicle, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on field service experience with heavy construction, mining or material‑handling equipment, preferably in the GCC/UAE.
• Valid UAE driving licence (or equivalent) for field assignments.

Required skills

• Hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
• Diesel engine maintenance and overhaul.
• Electrical and electronic diagnostics, including CAN‑bus.
• Use of diagnostic tools, service platforms and remote‑support channels.
• Component removal, overhaul, calibration and functional testing.
• Preparation of service, warranty and inspection reports.
