Shift Service Engineer – Underground Mining Fleet

About the role

Join a leading mining and contracting organisation as a Shift Service Engineer, responsible for the reliability and performance of a critical underground mining fleet. You will lead a team of skilled technicians, drive maintenance excellence, and ensure safe, continuous production across regional sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and repair activities for underground mining equipment to maximise fleet availability.
• Implement and monitor preventative maintenance programmes, KPI performance and CMMS compliance.
• Supervise, coach and develop workshop technicians, providing technical leadership.
• Collaborate with operations, planning teams and OEM representatives to resolve technical issues and improve equipment performance.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified Mechanical Engineer.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting underground mining fleets.
• Strong knowledge of OEM equipment such as Sandvik, Volvo and similar manufacturers.
• Proven ability to use diagnostic tools, maintenance systems and technical reporting platforms.
