Shift Technician (Buggy & Generator)

About the role

Six Senses Zighy Bay is looking for a Shift Technician to ensure the reliable operation of its generators and buggy fleet. You will support the resort’s sustainability and wellness pillars by maintaining mechanical and electromechanical equipment in a remote, luxury‑hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, test and maintain mechanical and electromechanical systems, applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics and heat transfer.
• Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment to guarantee continuous coverage during breakdowns.
• Operate and service generators and buggies, providing engineering solutions as needed.
• Assist the Engineering Manager with reporting, technical issues and budget control.
• Support the sustainability department in self‑sufficiency and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Coordinate material orders, monitor consumption and keep detailed work records.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and adhere to Six Senses standards, LQA criteria and guest feedback.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; valid mechanical engineering licence preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar technical role within a luxury hotel or resort.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Willingness to live on‑site in a remote location for extended periods.

• Mechanical and electromechanical system maintenance.

• Electrical wiring and equipment servicing.
• Use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
