Specialist Ophthalmologist – Surgeon

About the role

A leading healthcare group in Oman is hiring four Specialist Ophthalmologists with strong surgical expertise. Selected candidates will diagnose and treat eye conditions and perform specialized ophthalmic surgeries according to their training and expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of ophthalmic conditions.
• Perform ophthalmic surgical procedures independently within the candidate's area of specialization.
• Conduct preoperative assessments and postoperative follow-ups.
• Provide treatment plans based on patients' clinical needs.
• Monitor surgical outcomes and manage postoperative complications.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with clinical and patient safety standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology.
• Proven experience as an Ophthalmologist with surgical expertise.
• Currently performing at least one of the listed surgical procedures, with demonstrable hands-on experience.
• Updated surgical logbook preferred.
