Stores Supervisor – Inventory & Materials Management

About the role

The Stores Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, equipment, and consumables to support project activities. This role ensures accurate inventory records, proper preservation of items, and compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Coordinate with QA/QC for material inspection and clearance.
• Tag, identify, and store materials according to manufacturer guidelines and project requirements.
• Maintain physical and system‑based stock records, monitor levels, and trigger re‑ordering.
• Conduct periodic stock verification, reconciliation, and enforce minimum/maximum inventory thresholds.
• Implement preservation measures to prevent corrosion, damage, and deterioration.
• Separate storage for critical, consumable, and hazardous items.
• Issue materials against approved Material Requisition Slips, track consumption, and apply FIFO/FEFO where applicable.
• Maintain accurate records of Goods Receipt Notes, Material Issue Registers, and Stock Registers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in stores supervision, inventory control, or material handling.
• Familiarity with documentation such as purchase orders, delivery challans, GRNs, and material requisition forms.
• Ability to work closely with QA/QC teams and follow preservation guidelines.
• Attention to detail for accurate record‑keeping and stock reconciliation.
