Substitute Teacher Opportunities in Spain

About the role

SEK Education Group is seeking qualified educators to join its substitute teacher network across its international schools in Spain. As a substitute teacher you will step in on short notice to ensure continuity of learning for students in early years, primary, secondary and IB programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Cover temporary absences in classrooms across selected SEK schools.
• Deliver lessons in early years, primary, secondary or IB curricula as required.
• Provide subject‑specific support in areas such as Science, Mathematics, Languages, Arts, Technology, Physical Education and Music.
• Support learners with special educational needs where applicable.
• Collaborate with the permanent teaching staff to maintain consistent teaching standards.

Required profile

• High level of English proficiency (C1–C2 or equivalent).
• Teaching qualification recognised or eligible for recognition in Spain.
• Legal right to work in the EU.
• Availability to start on short notice.
• Previous teaching experience is highly valued; IB experience is a plus.
