Sustainability Center Manager

About the role

The Sustainability Center Manager leads the development and execution of MCBS’s sustainability strategy. Based on campus, the role ensures that sustainability initiatives align with institutional goals and national priorities, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility across teaching, research, operations, and community outreach.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, launch, and manage sustainability projects that support the college’s strategic objectives.
• Coordinate sustainability reporting, collect data, analyse results and prepare reports in line with recognised standards.
• Develop policies, frameworks and guidelines that embed sustainable development into academic programmes and campus operations.
• Collaborate with academic departments, administrative units and external partners to integrate sustainability principles.
• Monitor performance indicators, evaluate impact and provide evidence‑based recommendations to senior leadership.
• Organise workshops, campaigns and events to raise awareness and drive engagement among staff, students and the wider community.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in corporate sustainability and sustainable development.
• Proficiency in sustainability reporting and familiarity with relevant standards or frameworks.
• Advanced analytical skills for evaluating initiatives and measuring impact.
• Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder engagement, presentations and report writing.
• Master’s degree in sustainability, environmental management, business or a related field.
• Proven experience managing sustainability projects or centres in an educational or community‑development context.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external organisations.
• Knowledge of regional and international sustainability standards, policies and best practices in higher education.
