Team Leader – Operations (Pipeline Services)

About the role

PipeCare Group is seeking an experienced Team Leader – Operations to oversee field project workers and ensure pipeline and facility projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within planned time, resources, and budget. The role involves direct coordination with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams across Oman.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, sign and submit pigging, daily, express and other relevant reports.
• Define equipment and tool requirements, including auxiliaries, AGM’s, DGPS, magnets, launching trays, spares and tool boxes.
• Study and analyse project documents, operation manuals and pigging procedures.
• Establish professional contacts with client field personnel and maintain collaborative relationships.
• Manage and develop the field team to deliver work safely, effectively and on schedule.
• Authority to stop any unsafe work on site.
• Coordinate field activities among the team, subcontractors, client and other parties.
• Attend client site meetings, kick‑offs, surveys, risk assessments and review sessions.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of operation planning experience, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
• Experience with In‑Line Inspection (ILI) and pigging operations.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of the local language is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work in refinery or plant environments.

Required skills

• Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (intermediate level).
• Mechanical engineering knowledge applied to pipeline operations.
• Operation planning and project coordination.
• In‑Line Inspection (ILI) techniques, including pigging.
• Use of DGPS, magnetic inspection tools and related field equipment.
