Technician – Switchgear Division

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our Switchgear Division in Muscat. The role involves hands‑on assembly, wiring, testing and maintenance of low‑voltage (LV) switchgear panels, ensuring high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, wire and install LV switchgear panels such as MDB, SMDB, DB, ATS, capacitor banks and VFD panels.
• Perform testing, inspection and quality checks to meet project specifications and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults in switchgear panels and related equipment.
• Support site installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance activities.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.
• Maintain safety compliance and proper documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers and supervisors to ensure timely project execution.

Required profile

• Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in switchgear panel assembly, wiring, testing and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of electrical components, wiring practices and switchgear systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
