Unit Head – Procurement & Administration

About the role

The Unit Head – Procurement & Administration leads the organization’s sourcing, contracting and vendor management activities while overseeing core administrative services such as travel, facilities and records handling. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures compliance, cost efficiency and service quality in line with the bank’s policies and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes, from needs assessment through RFQ/RFP development, tendering, negotiation and contract execution.
• Oversee high‑value and complex procurement and administrative contracts, ensuring alignment with budgets, policies and service level agreements.
• Lead supplier and service‑provider evaluations, facilitating senior‑level negotiations to secure optimal commercial, technical and legal outcomes.
• Collaborate with business units and cost owners to review proposals, provide recommendations and obtain consensus on vendor selections.
• Monitor compliance with SLAs, drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement cost‑optimization frameworks.
• Act as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders, supporting cross‑functional initiatives and operational changes.

Required profile

• Significant experience in procurement and administration within a large organization, preferably in the banking sector.
• Strong knowledge of procurement policies, delegation of authority and legal contracting.
• Proven ability to lead negotiations and manage supplier relationships.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
