Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will establish and lead the accounting and financial reporting function for the company's operations in Oman. This hands‑on role involves building accounting processes from the ground up and working closely with the Regional Finance team in Singapore to support group reporting and corporate finance initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and manage the accounting function for the Oman entity from start‑up through operational readiness.
• Develop accounting policies, procedures and internal controls in line with Group requirements and IFRS.
• Oversee general ledger, fixed assets, AP/AR, cash management and monthly/quarterly/annual closings.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support project and construction accounting, monitoring expenditures, CWIP and capitalisation.
• Ensure statutory compliance, manage corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax and regulatory filings.
• Coordinate external and internal audits, prepare schedules and liaise with Group Finance.
• Maintain internal control systems and drive continuous improvement in finance processes.

Required profile

• Hands‑on professional capable of building accounting processes in a dynamic multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and Group accounting policies.
• Experience with project and construction accounting, including CWIP and capitalisation.
• Familiarity with statutory compliance, tax filings and audit coordination.
