Application Support Specialist – Treasury Application

About the role

The Application Support Specialist provides functional and technical support for the bank's Treasury applications, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations, timely issue resolution, and system stability for Treasury and Finance users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 support for Treasury systems and monitor daily processing activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform impact analysis, and coordinate L3 vendor support.
• Support modules such as Money Market, FX/Derivatives, Securities, Liquidity Management, Risk & Limit Management, SWIFT/Payment interfaces, and GL/Core Banking integration.
• Log incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis, and prepare reports for critical issues.
• Assist with change and release management, including deployments, patches, and regulatory upgrades.
• Offer functional assistance and training to Front, Middle, and Back Office users.
• Maintain and resolve failures in interfaces with Core Banking, SWIFT, RTGS, market data feeds (Reuters/Bloomberg), and finance systems.
• Coordinate with vendors for bug fixes, enhancements, and validation of patches before production.

Required profile

• Omani national with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• ITSM certification preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of banking application support experience, including at least 4 years supporting Treasury systems.
• Experience with FIS Quantum or similar Treasury platforms is desirable.
