Assistant Front Office Manager

About the role

The Assistant Front Office Manager supports the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily front office operations at a hotel in Al Mouj, Muscat. This role ensures smooth check‑in and check‑out processes, high guest satisfaction, and optimal departmental performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coach front desk, bell/door staff, and switchboard teams, stepping in to perform duties when needed.
• Manage day‑to‑day front office activities, maintaining service standards and handling guest inquiries and complaints.
• Monitor progress toward guest service goals, develop corrective action plans, and drive continuous improvement.
• Recognize and reward employee performance, fostering a collaborative and respectful work environment.
• Communicate departmental objectives clearly and ensure alignment with overall hotel standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, or a related area, **or** a 2‑year degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field (no experience required).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, integrity, and the ability to lead by example.
• Ability to understand and perform various front office positions and to resolve guest issues effectively.
