Assistant Manager – Lifting Operations

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Lifting Operations will lead complex critical lift projects for offshore hydrocarbon facilities in Sohar, Oman. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of high‑capacity crane activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and approve lift plans for critical lifts based on engineering inputs.
• Manage on‑site rigging teams and coordinate with customers and subcontractors.
• Oversee tandem lifts involving four or more cranes and operations with 500 MT+ capacity cranes.
• Ensure compliance with LOLER, BS standards, ASME requirements, and Qatar Energy QE lifting specialist guidelines.
• Supervise specialized operations such as flipping, roll‑up, shore‑to‑vessel crane moves, and equipment erection.

Required profile

• 6‑12 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 5 years international exposure.
• Hands‑on experience with critical and complex lifts in offshore environments.
• Technical diploma or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Proven ability to interpret engineering analysis and technical documentation.
