Assistant Manager – Value Added Tax

About the role

KPMG is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its Indirect Tax team, focusing on Value Added Tax (VAT) services across the GCC region. You will work closely with senior colleagues and client management to deliver high‑quality tax solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate client proposals, collaborating with internal and multi‑jurisdictional KPMG teams.
• Ensure adherence to risk processes and consult the risk team on any deviations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with client management, acting as an ambassador for KPMG.
• Manage multiple priorities for internal and external stakeholders while identifying and mitigating risks.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of tax solutions, providing insights on market and technical aspects.
• Enhance KPMG’s market reputation through meticulous project delivery and risk management.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of experience in indirect tax, specifically VAT, within the GCC.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; professional qualifications (ADIT, ACA, CPA, ACCA, Masters in Taxation) are preferred.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and project‑management capabilities.
• Highly motivated, self‑starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
