Assistant Store Manager

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports overall store operations and ensures a seamless customer experience. Working closely with the Store Manager, this role assists with managerial tasks and steps in to lead the store in their absence.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales by focusing on customer needs, implementing promotions, and monitoring KPIs.
• Audit and improve store administration procedures, ensuring accurate records.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure product availability through regular stock checks and replenishment.
• Manage staff schedules, address concerns, provide performance feedback, and uphold company dress code and image.
• Oversee security protocols, safeguarding stock and cash.
• Apply corrective actions and progressive discipline when necessary, maintaining confidentiality and high ethical standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting store operations and covering for a Store Manager.
• Strong focus on customer service and ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Knowledge of inventory control, visual merchandising, and KPI monitoring.
• Capability to manage staff schedules, resolve issues, and deliver performance feedback.
• Understanding of security procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe store environment.
