CDZ Operator – Logistics Operations

About the role

The CDZ Operator supports DHL Global Forwarding's airfreight gateway in Muscat, handling customer operations, order processing and coordination with internal teams. You will work closely with the ACC Manager and sales team to ensure smooth logistics execution for South African export traffic and regional gateways.

Key responsibilities

• Administer customer operation plans and processes to deliver efficient logistics services.
• Receive, deliver and update orders in the system for assigned shipments.
• Perform shipping, pricing and invoice verification and generate customer reports.
• Handle exceptions and issues raised by customers or other functions, reporting actions taken.
• Enter and maintain data in the database, including stock records and order status.
• Support the sales team with quotations, exception deal management and billing corrections.
• Respond to customer enquiries, understand requirements and provide timely solutions.
• Collaborate with customer service, warehouse staff, dispatchers and drivers to resolve issues and meet service timelines.
• Identify upselling opportunities and follow up on recurring problems.
• Suggest process enhancements to increase effectiveness and efficiency.

Required profile

• Vocational, specialized or technical education or certification.
• Less than 2 years of relevant experience in logistics or freight operations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Basic computer literacy for data entry and system usage.
