Chef de Partie – Luxury Hotel Kitchen

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Chef de Partie to join the culinary team at InterContinental Muscat. In this position you will support the Head Chef in delivering high‑quality dishes and maintaining the standards of a luxury hotel kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and run an assigned kitchen section efficiently during service.
• Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with recipes and brand standards.
• Support the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations.
• Supervise and guide Commis Chefs to ensure quality, discipline, and teamwork.
• Ensure proper food preparation, portion control, and minimise waste.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and HACCP compliance.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with requisitions and inventory control.
• Contribute ideas for menu development and daily specials.
• Coordinate smoothly with other kitchen sections during service.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie, preferably in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel or high‑volume restaurant.
• Strong technical knowledge in the assigned section (hot, cold, pastry, bakery, or specialty cuisine).
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure kitchen environment.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Culinary qualifications or professional training are an advantage.
