Commercial & Contracts Principal

About the role

The Integrated Gas Company (IGC) seeks a Commercial & Contracts Principal to lead the full lifecycle of high‑value gas contracts, including NGSAs, GPAs and GSAs. This senior position will drive negotiations, risk mitigation and compliance while supporting auction, tender and spot‑sale activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead negotiation, drafting, execution and management of gas supply, transportation and amendment agreements.
• Negotiate pricing, Take‑or‑Pay, force majeure, Energy Transition requirements and ICV commitments.
• Evaluate gas allocation requests using approved models, recommend allocations based on economic value and strategic priorities.
• Ensure all agreements meet legal, regulatory and governance standards and secure required approvals.
• Manage contract renewals, extensions and performance monitoring, including bank guarantee requirements.
• Support surplus gas commercialization through spot sales, auctions and tender processes, preparing RFPs and commercial evaluations.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex gas supply and transportation contracts.
• Strong understanding of national energy policies, gas pricing mechanisms and allocation frameworks.
• Ability to assess commercial risk and optimize contract terms for revenue maximisation.
• Experience coordinating with planning, legal and compliance teams.
