Customs Clearance Representative

About the role

We are seeking a Customs Clearance Representative to join the Logistics team at GAC Oman’s airport office in Muscat. The role ensures smooth and timely clearance of imports and exports through coordination with customs authorities and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with customs officials and port/airport authorities to secure timely clearance of goods.
• Prepare, submit and track all required customs documentation, including Bills of Lading and Delivery Orders.
• Ensure compliance with Omani customs laws, import/export regulations and company policies.
• Respond to documentary queries from shipping lines, customs officials and customers.
• Assist in customs inspections, survey loading of shipments and report any damages.
• Maintain accurate petty cash records, reconcile IOUs and handle document delivery and collection.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in customs clearance or related logistics functions.
• University graduate; commerce, logistics or maritime studies preferred.
• Valid Oman driving licence (or ability to obtain a customs licence).
• Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Outlook.
• Good data‑entry skills.
