Data Center Engineer

About the role

Vitelco is seeking a skilled Data Center Engineer to support its IT infrastructure services. The role involves remote troubleshooting, hands‑on hardware work, and ensuring data‑center operations run smoothly for customers in Turkey and abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Perform remote troubleshooting and provide service‑desk support.
• Maintain and upgrade data‑center equipment including switches, routers, servers, cables, and fibre optics.
• Enhance and update Method of Procedures (MOPs) and operational guidelines.
• Ensure strict adherence to MOPs, SLAs, and customer‑first service standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively in English.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a service‑desk or remote support environment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.

Required skills

• Microsoft 365 suite proficiency.
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco, Juniper and Arista networking products.
• Deep knowledge of HPE servers and components.
• Expertise in optics, copper and fibre‑optic cabling.
• Experience with hardware installation, decommissioning and parts replacement.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service‑management lifecycle (tickets, SLAs, communication).
