Document Control & Configuration Manager

About the role

The Document Control & Configuration Manager will lead the establishment, implementation and maintenance of Hafeet Rail's Document Control and Configuration Management Framework. This role ensures that all operational documentation, competence records, standards, rule books, procedures, work instructions and safety‑critical information remain accurate, traceable and available throughout operational readiness and commercial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and roll out the Hafeet Rail document control framework, including procedures, templates and numbering conventions.
• Manage the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) – set up workflows, access controls, review/approval cycles and records retention.
• Control distribution, revision management and traceability of engineering, operational and safety documentation.
• Establish and operate a configuration management system covering asset baselines, engineering change and configuration status accounting.
• Oversee the engineering change process, including impact assessment, approval workflows and implementation tracking.
• Act as custodian for all controlled operations documentation, ensuring proper publication, issue, withdrawal and archival.
• Support safety case and regulatory documentation, providing auditable records for audits, certifications and regulatory submissions.
• Coordinate operational readiness activities related to document control and configuration management, including testing, commissioning and handover.
